Red Neck lands and confederate flags in northeastern CT?

Funny, but I have seen about 2 of those in 8 years here.

Its a rather stupid term here anyway "ghetto". Whats the reference - does it mean high crime, low income or crappy housing? All of the above? Who determines whats considered the Ghetto?? Some people reference less desirable towns as "the ghetto" even if it may just be a town with smaller, older homes with people who are making ends meet. I love CT, but there is such a divide in this state of whats rich, whats better, is it east of the river or west of the river? give me a break already!

As I've stated before--a lot of these posters here are making comments about places that they never lived in--and could never afford to live in themselves. I ---so far have seen attacks on Norwalk..Fairfield..Ghettos of Greenwich....Ghettos of Stamford ...Bridgeport...I mean really....if all these places were GHETTOS none of ya lot of you would EVER find a place to live.

I feel sorry for folks from other states trying to figure out where to live. According to many of you..this 2nd smallest state the country has nothing but GHETTOS......or Greenwich..but OOOPS.."they've done it again ".......Ghettos in Greenwich !!!!!!!

Get a life ----and a education !!!

Visit the States where the real murders and ghettos are !!!...and it IS NOT in Connecticut...except in you small uneducated minds !

So now modest, blue-collar homes constitute the ghetto?? Low income automatically = ghetto??

You really do need to get out more.

I thought there was moderator on this forum. If that is not discriminatory I don't know what is.

I feel in closing this thread below- any kind of discrimination here will no longer be tolerated.
The two moderators failed to monitor this thread closely enough.

jadedsoul is clearly a genius! Next time I drive by a "low income" housing development I'll make sure and let all of the seniors who live there know that they live in a slum - I guess thats your definition right? Not all low income housing means that its a slum.

You're right. Theres actually monetary amounts for each section of town set for the income required to be a slum (aka the poverty line). Doesnt matter if they're old, young, white, black, female, male, you get my drift. If they live in poverty in a run down section of town, then its textbook. Maybe you should check into it Seeing how I grew up in two and I'm not getting offended by this, then I'll assume you must be a senior in a low income housing development? You can go ahead and drive by my parents house on High Street in Rockville and "let them know" and they'll look at you and go "so?"

You know how I can tell you dont live in one? Oversensitivity to a topic you cant relate to. You know how I can tell when people do or have? When they're proud.
