I guess there was a pretty bad accident. They're turning traffic around and I'm trying to get off at 61 south...back roads in Hamden are gridlock. What was supposed to be a quick trip to Orange is turning out to be not so quick. Bah.

Learning it's a double fatality. While the traffic is terrible, I'm thankful that I'll be going home to my family.

Bummer. Traffic was really slow today coming from Stamford around 5PM, could that have been part of it?

I'm guessing not. Hamden/North Haven/Wallingford traffic doesn't really affect Fairfield County traffic. It did affect the 91/95 merge though, and the back roads, as lots of folks took alternate routes.

Took me 2 hours to get out of that mess.

Amen to that. I find myself getting frustrated when there is an accident sometimes but then try to remember someone may be really hurt in all this.

I always look at Google Maps and look at the Traffic Report for cities and i always check out the NYC area and i notice so much incidents going on this highway. right now its "red" all the way from Greenwich all the way to Fairfield. Hartford looks like a real mess also

Yeah it's so bad. I got home at 630. Two hours plus to get to Milford. This isn't even a Friday like last time. Where I come from this is unheard of. People would FREAK. Kind of like I am now.

A Coors and a hot bath. A Coors and a hot bath. A Coors and a hot bath.

Wow. Unreal.. It's sickening just hearing about it let alone being in it. And yes...people dont understand its ANYTIME ANYDAY... these people that dont use the road as much dont understand.

I am mostly worried about pets waiting for their mommy or daddy to come home and they are stuck in that crap. I hope everyone who uses that road has a neighbor or a backup sitter...

I cringe thinking about a bad storm happening during times like that.
