It was pretty comparable to taking Metro North today kid. Also, despite slow spots, drivers were pretty easy going. Uneventful, accident free and low stress. But not speedy. Sort of expected in a city of 8 million.

Nope, tractor trailer accident near the Greenwich/Stamford line. Took all morning to clear up.

This was my worst morning commute all year. Traffic started around the Trumbull border and I took backroads from Exit 50 all the way to my work in Westport by the Norwalk border. Took me a little over 50 minutes. If I stuck to the highways who knows how long it would've taken.

It was because of an accident??? I was on the Merritt also. Got on at 6:20 at Exit 56 south and it took me 1:40 minutes to get through Westport. It cleared up at Exit 35. Longest and worst commute ever for me. Took over an hour to go from exit 49 to 40. Took me 2 1/2 to get to White Plains,NY........pitiful..........

Read the posts folks.

Took 1 hour for 17 miles.
2.5 hrs for 40 miles.
50 minutes for 22 miles.

This isnt an extreme. This is the normal because accidents ALWAYS happen. You have to get lucky not to come across these delays.

Bridgeport being #5 on the U.S Traffic list is a lie. It should be in Top 3 at least. Period.

I thought I'd leave for Bridgeport now so I checked the traffic cams... forget it!! Its still jam packed at 11am!
