Good news for anyone waiting to get a permit in Fairfield. Looks like they are zooming through the wait list... I was about 2200 spots down on the list, and got my letter that my # is up yesterday. I was given the option of the new station or waiting for a spot at the old one.

Figures - I just started my new job in Cheshire last week, so after 5 yrs on the waiting list I get my permit letter right when I don't need it any more!

Then don't take one. Good to hear they are moving though. I wonder if the website has been updated.

Don't worry - I don't plan to waste almost $400 per year on the off-chance that I might need a permit again in a few years. I will pass and hope that if I do need one that enough people have done the same and the wait list isn't too bad.

I just feel bad for people opting to stay at the current Fairfield station under the assumption that it will continue to be an express station. I don't see that lasting very long...
