Yeah, I noticed the lack of homicides so far in New Haven. There's a new police chief in charge and walking beats have started to become the thing in 2012. While it's encouraging, the truth will be told in the warmer months. But it would be a wonderful thing for New Haven to shed its murder rep, as other crime stats there have been falling for the past 20 years.

East Hartford is a dangerous town to live in, or even
walk. Woman got ran over in a pedestrian walkway by hit & run driver.
Heard many people tell me they cannot safely walk their dogs there,
because Dog Warden in that town won't enforce State Anti-Roaming law & their dogs have been attacked many times when they took them for walks.
East Hartford isn't safe anymore.
Manchester isn't as safe either. There is a lot of crime there.
Go on Patch.com. they state the crimes there.

Pretty sure New Haven ended the year with about half the homicides of 2011. Can't confirm though, haven't seen an official count.

Sounds like they need to join the complete streets program , and loosen up there pet restrictions , more so then having violent crime issues.

You are basing your conclusions on a few isolated incidents which do not reflect the entire town. I am in East Hartford a lot and feel safe. Never had a problem with roaming dogs or dangerous drivers. Same in Manchester. You are way off. Jay

East hartford has a lot of walkable areas. RockNRollRocks is citing a few incidents that could happen anywhere and "Complete Streets" would do nothing to change. Jay
