You probably won't find "solid" reviews for it. Like i said, i have a soft spot for the place. Overall, it's fair/average food-wise.

Use Massey Oil. I went to high school with him. Get the take home ravioli from Salernos too. It's the best.

Welcome!!

I love Peppino's Pizza off East Main near the Stop & Shop. For Italian grinders, Gaetano's or Paradise. For general Italian food, Vazzy's.

The Edge was fine as a gym while I was there, but it does get quite crowded during peak hours. I was not keen on parking far from the building during the winter, when it gets dark early. Not my favorite area of Stratford to say the least.

We've used Robin Hood Cleaners right next to Vazzy's on Main St, right after North Ave and they've always been fine. We aren't weekly dry cleaning users or anything, though.

For American food takeout we like Bun 'n Burger in Paradise Green. It's locally-owned, they use a local butcher for their meat, and they are some of the nicest people you could meet.

I just ate at Bridge House in Milford right over the bridge from Stratford. Another really good restaurant that's close. Meatloaf is crazy good.

I also hear the Windmill in Stratford is an awesome crusty old German restaurant.

Also, the Stop & Shop at the Dock shopping center is open 24/7. Very handy.

Don't forget the Frog Pond too in that area.

The Big Y on the Trumbull border is a much better grocery option than the Stop and Shop at the Dock. Once the Big Y opened, I don't think I ever set foot in that Stop and Shop again.

I've avoided the S&S at the Dock for many years. It has always seemed to be poorly managed compared to the Milford(2) and Trumbull stores. Also, not thrilled with ShopRite's Stratford store either. Big Y is by far the best choice in town.

No doubt, but the 24/7 nature comes in handy when you need something late at night. I believe there's a 24 hour CVS or Walgreen's in Stratford too.

I would agree Big Y is the best option, or Shop Rite and Aldi in Milford if you're into bargain hunting.

It amazes me there's no Big Y presence in Milford yet, but I guess it's only a matter of time.

Big Y has the best sales. We go to Stop 'n' Shop for things that are not on sale at Big Y, but that we aren't willing to pay Big Y regular prices for. It's nice to have so many options.
