I can't believe Detroit isn't higher. And why is Honolulu ranked so high?

Default Remeber this back in the 90's Bridgeport

Remember when Bridgeport use to have over 60+ Homicides every year back in the 90's and In 1993 September The City saw 15 homicides in 1 month.

Haha...I actually agree with this list. Florida is a very sad place to live. Things aren't what they seem here.

Funny you said that, my gay friend moved down there to Orlando Florida this last May, and believe me everyday i read his facebook and I never see him down and deppressed like that ever when i first knew him when I was 11 years old,,, when he lived here in Connecticut he was one of the happiest and cheerful person I ever knew and always made me happy when I'm down at times. I feel bad for him and guys down there are so stuck up the things he experience is just unbelievable I hope he comes back here... we all miss him, and believe me he moved back twice and I would not be suprise he would again for the third time... I remember him saying how he starting to dream of coming back to Connecticut.

Florida is not how everybody think it could be, as you said....

Bridgeport is 38th out 100 saddest city in America

America's Saddest Cities | Men's Health

It seems as though these were the only cities they used. As you can see the top 10 are considered "blue's proof towns". As far as I can see this list counts Bridgeport as an average city as far as overall happiness is concerned. A "C" isn't a bad rating. It's also worth noting that there are only 6 New England cities on the list and half of them are considered "Blue's proof". Only Providence scored badly. I'd have to assume Hartford would too however if it were reviewed...

Few northeastern cities are near the bottom and the 4 Florida cities they studied are in the top 12!!! St Pete being the most depressing city in america! Florida is over rated and u can count me as one of the people depressed from living in the Tampa Bay area! I was sooo much more happy in CT! Greener grass in the south? Only if it's astroturf compared to natural grass.

I know right (about Honolulu). If you had to pay the prices for food and rent out there, I don't think anyone would be too "happy".
Silly, silly article. I'd be much happier in Memphis, TN (#98) ANYFREAKINGDAY than Fargo, ND (#3 ????). I can tell you that right now. lol

Fargo has such a vast amount of culture, fine entertainment and those wonderful balmy 10 below zero winters. kill me now if I lived there (no offense to all you Fargo-ers)

Interesting that most of the northeast is higher up on scale (more to do, more culture and arts). Id imagine St Pete also has the high demographic of seniors, and people over 65...FL is definitely over-rated. Although Id prefer it over Fargo,lol...

The south (NE Tenn, for now) is for the most part over-rated. Its 37 degrees here today and my heat bills are the same as in NY, plus theres absolutely NO culture here.
