I used to live in Manchester. I live on Bissel St and always use to walk around that area and Spruce St was dirty. I remember Dealers use to sit on the fence near the school. It was never a dangerous area, I'm not trying to scare anybody. But, I do remember kids getting jumped and one kid got robbed for his shoes but that's about it. Anyways, are they cleaning up these areas? I'm just curious.

Ohh yeah. Does anyone know about the murder on Hartford rd? I was reading about it but the article didn't give much information. Is this common now?

I would not say the robbery-murder on Hartford Road is common. It was an isolated incident that could have happened anywhere. I can't speak for the neighborhood around Spruce Street but to me it is not all that bad. It certainly does not compare to some neighborhoods in major cities. Jay

Oh come on now. It is not even close. Do you even know what an inner city neighborhood is like? Obviously not. Jay

That's what I was thinking. Manchester is not as much of a suburb as it use to be but you can't really compare it to places like Hartford and Bridgeport.

I imagine you have never lived in the inner city and have no idea what you are talking about.
