I would consider Weston - if you work in Westport you'll be 5-10 minutes away from Weston. Weston high school is ranked number 1 in CT and home prices are easily 20-30% lower than in Westport. Minimum lot size is 2 acres so there's more privacy, too. Personally, I find people in Weston far friendlier than in Westport.

High School Rank: Depends who you listen to. Businessweek lists Staples as the best in Connecticut (
America's Best High Schools: Connecticut - BusinessWeek ). I think the difference in quality of education between Weston and Westport is negligible. However, the Staples facility is world class-- Field House, Pool with Diving Facility, Basketball Gym, Tennis Courts, FM Radio Station, TV Studio Recording Studios, State of the Art Library Media Center... Almost brand new building.

Yeah, I never thought of Weston as a bargain compared to Westport. If you want the woodsy privacy and rural setting, Easton is a whole lot cheaper.
