I will be car pooling with a friend once every week commuting between Hartford and Boston. He would be coming from some place else so we are planning to meet at a location on or near our commute, park one of our cars and car pool in the other.

I would like to know if there are any parking spots where one can park closer to the I-84 E for about ~7-8 hrs without worrying about the car?

Thanks in advance!

There's plenty of park & rides at various exits. If you do that in a safe area, you should be fine. The only completely worry-free solution is to pay a premium and park in a monitored lot/garage.
