Hello,

My girlfriend and I are looking to get a short-term sublet/temporary housing near Shelton/Stratford/Milford area starting middle or end of January, '12. I work near exit 11 off of Route 8 and really would like to be not too far from work. (15 miles max?)

I can pay some deposit in the case that's required but the main issue so far has been the length of my stay/commitment/lease. If my contract at work ends suddenly, there's no reason for me to stay in CT at all this winter. This is why I can only commit and pay 1 month's rent and maybe some deposit at first, assuming I'll be able to get it back when we leave the place in the same condition that I found it. If I am happy at this place and my work is still going on, there's no reason to leave the apartment any time soon.

Is there any advise out there besides Craigslist? (Maybe one of you own a place like this and no one's living there currently?)

I did see a few Milford Beach short-term rental places but they're a little on the pricey side. I'm hoping to pay no more then $1400/mtn with all Utilities included (Apartment must be Internet ready as I do IT work from home in times)

Thanks a lot in advance.!
