Look at economic data for many other towns, like in the west and northwest of the state and he'll be whistling a different tune. I have to agree. The person that says that knows little about the rest of the state. Maybe the areas in the northeast corner but New Haven, Hartford, Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex and Tolland counties are all pretty well educated and modern. No where near being backwoods. Jay

I so agree with you. The problem mostly is not the teachers, it is the students and their family life. I wish the politicians would get that already and stop putting the blame on the schools. There is only so much a teacher or administrator can do for a kid. how is a child suppose to be educated with little or no parental supervision at home and a bad living environment. Jay
