Is this out of 10 cities ranked?

And no, the unemployment rate in Bridgeport is close to 15%, and 21% of the city lives in poverty.

That doesn't sound happy to me.

I get sadder when I drive through Bridgeport's eastern half and outskirts of downtown.

Not really though, but it's not exactly a joy-inspiring environment. Unless you consider trash on the streets and abandoned buildings awesome.

Maybe it ranked METRO AREAS instead of cities. If you included all of Fairfield County I'd believe it....

Even the wealthy around here don't seem particularly joyous.

No kidding. I spent some time up in the Watertown area recently and it felt like i was in an entirely different state. I encountered many pleasant people, polite people, outgoing people. Where i live isn't as self-centered/narcissistic as where i work down county, but still, the difference between my area(and Milford as well, Stylo) and that Watertown area is just night and day with regard to pace/politeness. Starting to wish that i could move northward a bit.
