Finally think it's time to say good bye to renting and get a condo in Stamford. The search has narrowed down to Mill River House (Westside Stamford) and Eastside Commons(east side downtown Stamford). I am leaning towards Eastside Commons coz the area seems more promising.

Have anyone live or have friends that live in either condo? What do you like or not like about these two condos? Any issues (noise, parking, HOA, increasing common charges etc)?

Congrats on the move.

Eastside commons has more a residential feel while still close to downtown.
Mill River House is very busy and on Main road. (I would say very noisy). I also lean towards Eastside. Also For resale thoughts too. Not many want to live in a busy, noisy, treeless, parkless, downtown.

Realtor should know about the CC's. But these might help.

Thanks Cambium! Eastside Commons does look nice. Yet I am having some second thoughts about it. The condo was converted to apartments and owner occupancy rate is far from 50%. FHA has expired and now it's not FHA approved, let alone warrantable. The complex does not have a renter cap, all of these can hurt the resale value. Mill river house might be a safer bet when it comes to resale value coz the complex is fully warrantable.

Horrible place to live...Been here for a year. Multiple breaks-ins/thefts in the parking garage, poor management company and an even worse developer (who still has majority control). All they care about is making their money. STAY AWAY!
