I have been seeing solar panels go up more past year then in past 5 years combined. Love it. Residential and businesses are using them more now. Maybe the cost is coming down finally.
I made a mistake i mean't to say make Downtown Stamford more dense...

Its missing sufficient highway lanes in hartford. Rush hour traffic would be reduced if the 91 on/off ramps weren't one lane over a sharp turn. Yes fixing this would cause a temporary standstill, but hartford is a m-f 9-5 city lets accept it.

The entire state needs to be 7, IMO...or at least any part I would live in.

I know the SW coast is supposed to be 7, but family that lived there was not really impressed with the results. They didn't find that reliable.

When energy costs become cost prohibitive communities with excellent access to infrastructure like East Hartford will be reborn as well.
Bridgeport has potential but IMO New Haven is the one that's already experiencing growth and revitalization - and has some major advantages over Bridgeport.

But we'd all like to see both cities succeed, I just think it's a much tougher battle for Bridgeport.

Default What is Connecticut missing?

Please don't tell me the state is perfect, because its not. So, with that out of the way...
Well the Hartford Whalers for one. I was not happy when they moved to Carolina. Hockey seems like a Northern sport to me.

^But Connecticut probably does not need a supertall or a megatall! I like the way the Connecticut cities are now, they are still on a human scale.

Historically, Connecticut is missing what would be its NINTH county. The eastern 2/3 of Long Island or today's Suffolk County was part of Connecticut until the 1670s. In fact, the Nassau-Suffolk County line today is roughly the same border as Connecticut (New Haven) and New Netherland in the mid 1600s. History of Long Island - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"On April 22, 1636 Charles I of England ordered that the Plymouth Colony, which had laid claim to the island but had not settled it, give the island to William Alexander. Alexander through his agent James Farret (who personally received Shelter Island and Robins Island) in turn sold most of the eastern island to the New Haven and Connecticut colonies".

I believe the Rye area of Westchester was also part of Connecticut at one time.
