Wont happen in Stamford unless its 1-5am. lol . I've driven at midnight and even at 5am and shook my head wondering what these people are doing on the roads. I can never see an empty road. The only time was during Tropical Storm Irene..

Haha, yeah, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

There's lots of sidewalks in downtown Stamford so you don't really have to dodge cars.

That's what I'm hoping...I run through downtown Denver every AM, Stamford's gotta be doable.

Stamford is MUCH smaller but I think you'll find it just as runnable.

I agree that Stamford would probably be best. Commuting by car from Greenwich to Westport may be a bit difficult since your wife would have to drive through Stamford and traffic does slow on I-95 northbound into downtown in the morning. If you live in downtown Stamford she would avoid that. Also you would likely only need one car sinc eyou could either walk to the station or use the bus.

Living in Westport would also be good but you would be further from New York so the commute would be longer. Plus Westport does not have a lot of rentals and I am not sure what you would get for your money there (same with Greenwich). Jay

That makes sense.

The only reason we'd consider more western CT or Westchester is that we'll be going to Long Island via the Throgs Neck or Whitestone quite a bit. However, making the daily commute easier is probably more important.
