As for Sacred Heart, it is a moderate party school. (Not as big of a party school as UConn but considered the "wildest" in lower Connecticut.)
There are only 3 private four year schools in FFC. Fairfield U. appears to have more students arrested than Sacred Heart or UB does each school year.

From what I've heard SHU is pretty "average" for partying.

anybody familiar with the communications/broadcasting/journalism program? I'm considering looking into SH for their graduate program in mass communications; really I'm looking to relocate period, and if a solid graduate school is in the metro area, so much the better.

Are the apartments in the nearby area affordable, not super-expensive?

Fairfield University recently launched a Communications Graduate program. See link.

My Bachelor's Degree is from Fairfield University and my Major was in Communication (with a Mass Communication emphasis). Let me sum it up in one sentence: their department has some of the best and brightest minds that I've ever met in my entire life. Those same faculty members also teach at the Graduate level.

Do know that the Master's program in Communication itself may seem new and unproven, but it is actually a re-launch as they previously offered one several decades ago.

Lastly, I can't speak on the behalf of other schools, but Fairfield University's proximity to New York City also provides it with many networking/career opportunities with alumni and employers within NYC's Mass Media sector.
