I'm originally from CT - moved to Miami in '97 so I am familiar with any of the places anyone will talk about, but in the 16 years since I left, I've only been back once and so much has changed that I'm a bit lost on areas to consider.

My husband has been considering some jobs near Bradley - he works in the aviation industry. Our young daughter is homeschooled so school districts are not an issue but we are a mostly single income family with the exception of my own business. We will be renting, not buying since we only plan to stay in CT more than a few years before hopefully heading back to South Florida and I'm not really interested in taking on CT taxes.

I'm most interested in areas that are not rural, suburban with easy proximity walkable ares is fine, and have easy access to kid friendly things (museums, parks, etc), health food stores or at least relative proximity to Whole Foods/Trader Joes etc, local food (ie farms). I have lived in Hartford, Bloomfield, Granby, Winsted, New Britain, Middletown among other places. I've been looking at West Hartford, some parts of Hartford, Windsor, North Bloomfield.

Oh yes and we are a tricontinental family - American, French, and Argentine.

Any suggestions at all would be great.

Thanks
