Hi - we recently moved to Branford from Northern Virginia, and we are missing the local Saturday farmer's/crafts markets (and especially Eastern Market on Capital Hill, for those who might know that). My son is especially missing the crepe stands. Anywhere within 30 minutes of Branford that you could suggest we might check out? Thanks.

I'm actually really surprised Branford doesn't have one?

Here are 3 good ones I have been to:

Note sure if you're going to find exactly the same thing in CT as in VA.

However, Bishop's Orchards on Route 1 in Guilford may be interesting for you. Farm produce, baked goods, locally grown wine, etc.

Here's a list of state certified farmer's markets ( by county) - you'd want to look in New Haven, Fairfield & Middlesex counties

For craft markets you could try Redwood County Market at 170 South Turnpike Rd. in Wallingford. Saturdays & Sundays 6-2:30

As for crepe stands, I'm drawing a blank.

Remember most farmer's markets haven't even started yet in CT or are just beginning now. Our growing season starts much later than VA.

There is a crepe truck regularly parked in Fairfield downtown. I wonder if it makes it to any farmer's markets. The Caseus Cheese Truck regularly attends the Wooster Square market. Amazing grilled cheese!

There's a crepe restaurant in Fairfield too, and Cafe Atlantique in Milford is known for them. That's all I can think of.

I have never seen crepes at a farmer's market or craft show. Usually craft shows are something you will see periodically in a town as opposed to weekly, maybe 2-3 times a year. You could look into the Redwood country flea market as willowind pointed out, they might have some crafts. Since it's a flea market though, the crafts might be limited. You could look into Guilford for crepes here:
