Jay I respectfully disagree.

I had it, bad. Felt like I fell off a 3 story building.

I have some neck pains etc and recently inquired about it possibly being "lyme" again and he said "not possible unless we did not get it all with the first round of antiboitics". (Turns out the neck pain was another issue.)

From what I was told, it's in your bloodstream or it's not. They did a blood test and the bacteria is not there.

Not catching it can leave permanent issues such as joint damage etc yes...but if someone says they "didn't know" I say they are numb from the chin down because it was HORRIBLE.

Agree with most of what JV said above. I will just add that the difference between people "now" and "then" is that people had to work to survive and provide for their familes. Unfortunately we have created this system to help the less fortunate and its been and is being abused and no one has stopped or tried to fix it. People who use and abuse it know it's there to help them so what is their motivation to get off their butts and go to work? There is no motivation. It's gone.

It's funny, I am almost 35 and I still remember a long time ago in my late teens when I was working at a grocery store in Manchester. This has really stuck in my mind since then at how people "work the system". It was a really busy day and they called a bunch of people to the front of the store to help bag peoples stuff. So here I am bagging this huge order. I think the total came to about $400 bucks or so. A woman with a bunch of kids in tow. She paid with food stamps. She ended up with like 3 carts of bagged groceries and then asked for help to bring them out to her car so two of us helped her out. Yup, we loaded all those groceries into her shiny new lexus while she stood there and watched us. Still remember that like it was yesterday.
