Have you see the water anomalies in the Pacific???

They've gotten colder! This means signs of La Nina showing up again. This means SouthEast Ridge continues through Spring.

Zone 8 here we come. lol

LMonsoonAO! That map showed blues where I outlined which means cooler waters in that region which means La Nina redeveloping which means southeast ridge to continue which means less snow chances and more warm chances.

Not exactly a weather comment, but somewhat weather-related. Yesterday (Tues., 1/8) the weather was so nice, I decided to sit outside and read for a while. After a couple of minutes, a yellowjacket or wasp landed on my magazine and sat there probably enjoying the sun. Soon, a big horsefly landed as well. I suppose they overwinter and the warmer weather brought them out. Later on I took a walk and where the snow had melted since last week, I saw fresh yellow dandelions among the green grass, the brook was running with no ice to be seen and 4 mallard duck pairs were enjoying themselves in the water. Not too bad for a day in January.

Enjoy, unless you are among those people who enjoy snow and ice.

I'm gonna check back in 11 months from now and be astonished if you're right, Camb.
