Not sure if 2-5" of snow would mean cancelled plans but ... models bringing the snow back into the picture. Many of them are. Just means whatever is happening now across the country and world as far as weather is favoring a snow event this weekend.

"event", not storm.

Whether or not this is just a trend west and they will trend back east, looks like CMC, EURO, GFS and a couple others are showing a 2-5" snow event anywhere north of Richmond, VA. Here's the data for 3 select locations.. Euro on left, GFS on right. GFS has higher totals and starts later. So GFS is slower with the system, hence the higher totals.. .52" of all snow at 12:1 ratios = 4-6".

Hows it look for this weekend Cam??

if I go up to New Hampshire I'd be leaving about 7 or 8 PM friday night (after the evening rush), probably spend the night in Nashua, NH then continue my journey to Plymouth, NH Saturday morning. I'd be coming straight back from Plymouth probably about 5 PM or 6 PM saturday. I don't mind driving in 5 or 6 inches of snow, but anything above that I'd be worried. Plus, there's likely to be more up there then down here anyways. Weather.com says snow for Plymouth Saturday but doesn't say how much.
Edit: It says snow showers which I assume means there's only going to be a couple inches.

Depends......My ex is driving down from Lake George ,NY to meet me in Lee,MA Saturday morning.
She takes I-90 to Lee and I take Rte 8 to Lee. It would depend on the timing of course. If it snows Friday night and ends early Sat morning, then no problem. Neither of us would want to be driving in snow. I'll have to monitor this closely and figure it out tomorrow night. Have I mentioned that I hate snow before?

I am also traveling through Mass. this weekend. I checked out NOAA and they don't think they will need to issue any sort of weather advisories, so even with snow it will be light and accumulations will be low. No big deal.

Havent looked at the latest but I do see this from Upton

AT THIS POINT CANNOT PINPOINT THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE HIGHER SNOW AMOUNTS AND HAVE GONE WITH A GENERAL QPF/SNOWFALL FORECAST. THE LOW WILL PULL AWAY OVERNIGHT SUNDAY WITH MOST SNOW
ENDING WEST TO EAST BY LATE SUNDAY MORNING. SEEMS LIKE AT THIS POINT MOST OF THE AREA COULD SEE 2 TO 4 INCHES...WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF 6+ INCHES IF A BAND SETS UP AS THE LOW STRENGTHENS.

I'll repeat it. I'm watching the 22nd time frame, no other days.

Very scary seeing this. Latest Euro showing the exact same setup as the past blizzard.

take a look. Top images latest Euro for 22nd time frame. Bottom images are actual surface map. Notice the High pressures also over northern New England.. Eerie similarities.
