Wow... I got no words for the current temps this morning. Its absolutely disgusting out there with temps & dewpoints in the 70s at 5:45am and no wind. Real feel of 80s

Line of storms heading our way ahead of the cold front. Dont be surprised if you see some localized flooding and lightning.

By the way... Here's the "Flash Flooding" in Naugatuck from 4 days ago on August 1, 2012. It was localized because 80% of the state didnt even see rain that day! It was from slow-moving thunderstorms that flooded one town and left another sunny and dry.

We received about a half an inch from a line of storms that moved in this aftrenoon in NH. Extremely humid with dewpoints in the 70s and the high was 91F before the rain.. On another note, I can't seem to run the animated loops of the GFS computer model on my laptop while I can on the other computer. Do you know of a quick fix to solve this issue? My flash player is up to date and I don't have issues with this on my other weather sites.

Sent you a PM, hope it worked. I assume you saw the hurricane in the long range fantasy GFS land. few runs had it go to maine, some OTS, some to Florida.

Well, GFS is mostly fantasy, particularly winter! It does appear that the tropics are about to become more active, though. Probably related to the dissipation of La Nina.

Had massive thunderstorms midday yesterday (while watching the Olympics, NWS actually told people to not be out between 1:15 and 1:55pm, never saw that down by us), then a cooldown. Only 63-deg here this morning, but coming back home to the "heat" today.
