It's interesting who hit 90 today, mostly very "inland" places like Bradley Airport and Poughkeepsie and Albany, NY. But one "outlier" that did is Boston's Logan Airport right on the water.....meanwhile no one on the RI or CT coast or in the tri-state NYC area did (Newark came close at 89)

I was back and forth between Branford and Wallingford today. The difference in temperature was drastic. It was around 78-82 all day in Branford per my weather station and car thermometer. There was a great south wind off the sound today and the humidity was there but didn't seem too bad. The humidity and temperature was brutal inland today compared to the shore.

No doubt its feeling like old time early summer on the East Coast tonight folks

I was in pool all day and that sun seemed like I was in Key West - lol. I love tropical nights like this - from Savannah to Long Island Sound tonight lows will struggle to get below 70 F in most areas.

There is one map I love seeing this time of year - the current surface winds. When I see the winds coming from the south off the subtropical Atlantic just pouring out of that old time Bermuda High I get giddy - lol

Summer in CT .. Dewpoints ranging from 68-70° at 5:30am. Very muggy and warm at 71°

Had A/C on all night, nice and cold and "dry" in the house but I hate being enclosed so I'm tempting to open the doors and windows.

Within 10 minutes it feels tropical inside my house. Now my a/c will have to work harder later. I'll probably shut everything when temps get over 75 inside.

Theres NOT EVEN ANY WIND!!

No doubt the tropical air is in control on the lowlands of the East Coast. My temp only fell to 70.3 F last night.

I slept with the windows open and it was actually kind of nice, but I had my New Orleans style paddle fan going all night.

Not surprising its feeling like the eastern Caribbean this morning – look at the dew points! From Savannah to Connecticut dew points are near 70 F.

For those of you who just moved here, welcome to Summer in CT where the dewpoints and humidity is like the amazon and everyone sweats while they run to the water or get into the a/c.

Real feel at 98 degrees in Hartford. No rain yet feels like water in the air.

Warnings out now for Northern Fairfield.

The line took 40 minutes to blow up. Check out the 3D. Went from a couple of towering clouds to severe thunderstorms all lined up. oranges and reds are strong downpours and lightning.
