If you are not a Norwalk resident, yes you would have had to pay. For holidays it's $20 and for the Wednesday night concerts it's $5. You could have probably watched from Vet's park for free. The boat club (I think that's who does it) in South Norwalk also has a firework display you can see from the park.

I live in Riverdale in The Bronx. I love the sound between Greenwich and Bridgeport. I guess the fact that i went to the U Of Bridgeport for 2 years has something to do with that. Everytime i try to get up there something happens but I will make it up there soon. If there are any free places on the sound(already been to Greenwich Point Park) in that area pls feel free to clue me in.

We go to the private beach about .5 mile from my house. They're private fireworks, but everyone is welcome at the beach and it's pretty amazing. You see tons of homes setting off fireworks dotted all along the coast. The authorities seem to turn a blind eye to the blatantly illegal fireworks. As guess as long as it's under control and people aren't getting hurt. It's a better show and a much better setting than most of the "official" fireworks.

You should explore the sound beyond Bridgeport! IMO it just gets more beautiful as it opens up.

I live in Greenwich and the last fireworks I went to was the last time they allowed it on the Greenwich High football field.

Don't they have it at Todd's point now?
