Default Heartland?

My wife's mother and extended family live in Heartland (sp?). I was just wondering where this tiny town is in relation to the other towns.

thanks.

It is actually called Hartland, located about 20 miles northwest of Hartford, near the Barkhamsted reservoir. It is near the towns of Granby, West Granby and North Granby. The Massachusetts border is minutes away.

Hartland is sooo small! I deliver up there sometimes and think its such a hassle! The reservoir cuts the town in two and Rte 20 is the only way to get around it unless you go through Barkhamsted! Rte 20 has got to be the bumpiest road in the state..no joke...but there are some great views driving it. It's located west of Granby, north of Barkhamsted, and east of Colebrook, and then south of whatever town is in Mass. It's all woods up there!

Harland is an adorable little bedroom community. But there really is nothing there but woods. It's the friendliest community we have seen yet. My husband and I had been searching this section of the state for a home, and Hartland is great if you are ok with trekking to Granby to go to a grocery store. However, everyone knows everyone and its' a tight-knit community. Great schools too.

Hartland is just beautiful. Lots of woods and small roads. It's a haul to get to a "city", but it seems well worth the hassle.

Hartland's a wonderful little town. I live in Granby, next to Hartland. Both towns are beautiful and friendly.
