Essex is beautiful. I contest that little corner on the east CT River and LI Sound has the most beautiful towns in the state (from Guilford to Chester).

I haven't been there in 30+ years but I always loved Mystic. Don't know if it still affordable or commercialized. I always wanted to live there or own a summer cottage near the water.
