Default Greenwich/Stamford train station parking?

Hi
I need to go into NYC. I'm planning on taking the train from either Greenwich or Stamford at 6am and return around 10pm that same day. I have a few questions?

- Is there parking available at Stamford and Greenwich? Which is better?
- Is it safe to be travelling back on the train at 10pm to Stamford or Greenwich?
- Is it crazy to leave your car overnight at either stamford or greenwich?
- Basically which is the better option? Maybe there is no issue and both are perfectly fine. Sorry new to the area...

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Default Parking

Stamford would be fine, the parking garage is quite secure and there will be plenty of spots. The daily parking rate is $8. Coming back at 10:00 will be no problem at all in terms of saftery, plenty of people who worked a long day or where out after work coming back to Stamford at 10:00pm. I would suggest Stamford over Greenwhich becasue there are more direct trains to Stamford at 10:00pm!

I don't travel to NYC from Stamford all that often, but my limited experience has been that the garage was full up by the end of the morning rush. The alternatives require some walking.
