Any chance, if I leave at 6:30am, I can get to Norwalk in half an hour?

Or, to put it more succinctly, how early would I have to leave to have a reasonable commute?

I'd love to live in Ridgefield, but the homes are sky high. Bethel seems to be much more reasonable, and yet offers a nice small town atmosphere. Wife will work from home.

My work is right off Exit 39 on the Merritt Pkwy. I'm thinking I need to use the back roads, not Rte. 7!

Really appreciate any advice on neighborhoods/areas that are better for kids in Bethel, as well. Mine are 8 and 10, and location is HUGE for us - we want them to have kids in the area to play with.

All responses appreciated.

Hi- my partner is from Bethel and her family still lives there. It's a nice town and has a great little downtown. The prices of homes are much more affordable than Ridgefield. I was told to get to Norwalk it would take about 35-40 minutes.

good luck

Bethel is a cute little town that is more affordable than Ridgefield. Depending where in Bethel you are, you could take Route 58 right down to the merrit and get off at the exit you want. I can't tell you what areas are better or not, go through town and choose wherever you feel the most comfortable in.
