I was hit by someone with State Farm and they were easy to deal with in settling the claim.

Nationwide is on your side... I go through them for my car and home insurance. Geico was more expensive than Nationwide and All State

I have GEICO. They have by far the lowest rates for me. We had to file a claim early this year. We did it through their express center in New Britain. The car was fixed within a week. They did miss a few things though, but we since traded that car in so I don't really care. I only noticed when I was waxing the car this summer and my face was 6 inches from the body.

I too had a horrible claim settlement with Allstate, not what I expected for the price. I switched to MetLife which was cheaper then to state farm which was even cheaper. The wife had an accident last year (hit and run, tractor trailer, she chased him down lol) and state farm was super easy to deal with.

I remember your other thread, glad you figured out your situation. price out gap coverage, especially of your apr is higher than you like if you don't get gap, try to make one extra car payment a year to keep up with the debt/worth ratio.

I've gotten quotes from Liberty, Allstate and Geico so far and Geico was roughly half the cost! Around $400/6 months compared to $785+ for the others!

I have Progressive Insurance (free quotes online) with a used SUV in South Norwalk and I paid $450 for six months full coverage (i.e. collision/comprehensive). Same age range/gender.

Just checked and they're coming in higher than Geico for me, thanks for trying though

Yeah I don't think you're going to beat $400 - seems like a pretty good steal in my books. Take it and run =)

I had huge variances in quotes too (e.g. 450 vs. 900+) so as long as you did your due diligence, you win...

You get what you pay for!

Don't let me dissuade you though. Go ahead and sign up with them. Just don't hit me. Because if you do hit me as a Geico policyholder, you'll be paying LOTS more money later on in premiums when i'm forced to suit to get my just recompense.
