Getting a "new" used car the first weekend of October and need some advice on auto insurance companies you recommended based on rates and quality service, thanks!

Male, 35 years old, step 9 (do they do steps in CT? I know they did in MA, I have no speeding tickets for the past 13 years and no at-fault accidents ever)

Geico has always had the lowest prices (for me). When I searched around, Liberty Mutual had the highest.

I'm with Kid. We've had GEICO for many years and have always been happy with them. We had to file a claim last year and they were terrific.

Arbella insurance has fantastic rates. I went through them for my homeowners and auto and got a great rate.

I've been really happy with Geico. The fact that my favorite body shop ever (Mike's in Danbury) does their Express program makes it even better.

Hope y'all don't screw up and hit somebody. Geico is absolutely abysmal when it comes to settling a claim fairly when their insured hits somebody. I've been hit 3 times. The insurance companies of the at fault drivers were: Geico, Liberty Mutual, and The Hartford. Liberty Mutual was far and away the most upstanding when it came to resolving the claim. The Hartford was average, i guess. Geico played hardball from minute one, necessitating the filing of a suit. The payout was much greater than it would have been had Geico just acknowledged their insured's mistake, and compensated for it fairly. So, for a number of years after the claim was finally settled, the at-fault Geico driver that hit me certainly ended up paying much higher premiums(to some insurance company) than he/she would have had Geico handled the claim in good faith.

That was my problem with Allstate when I got hit recently. We were hit HARD on 95 by an unregistered driver. Allstate offered each of us $28 to get OTC medication.

Needless to say, I laughed, said goodbye, and hired a lawyer.
