The general MTA site says it's shut down (I saw where you said the MNR is still on the fence):

There are more out there I guess we just have to search them out.

I thought now might be a good time (for those who have the equipment ) to start to add weather readinds/conditions at their loctaion. It might be better to wait till things really start rocking tonight, but something tells me that I won't have power by Monday at this time. So I'll start now - lol.

Current Pressure: 29.90 inhces (steady).
Winds: NE at 6 -mph.
Temp: 62 F (rising).
Overcast.

Yep. MNR was a little slow with updating their site.

Stratford already showing flooding. This is going to be historic. The storm is still 450 miles away!

I'm almost certainly not going to go in Monday, not sure about Tuesday (but since I indirectly work in education, odds are my workplace(s) will be closed anyway), but my p/t night tutoring job tries to stay open and will probably act more like gmdealerguy's "car dealership", especially since it's only 3 miles from my home. .
My dealer would stay open if a nuclear missile was headed our way. Im not going in......too many what ifs......
If I drive there and lose power at work, whats the point?
If I drive there and they close.....Ill be pissed because they wouldnt tell you in advance.....
The commute home/or not being able to get home and trees falling scare me......

I am starting to believe this is one of those Shock and Awe type storms where it will be hard to post because the mind is trying to soak in reallity.
I'm hearing Tornado type sirens going off and thats not helping.

Winds gusting to 15mph from NE

My education-related work place did 't shut down, either. I'm not traveling the I95 corridor or Merritt on Mon. morning. I let them know that I wasn't coming in. I hope that I made the right decision.

I'd recommend a day away from home on Monday, and make contingency plans to stay away til Wednesday. The problem isn't necessarily with -your- property being washed out. It's more with being stuck there indefinitely, with no electricity, no food, no fresh water, until the road flooding subsides and repair crews can get in to restore power and potable water.

Anywhere near marshland that's adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean or Long Island sound, is at risk for flooding. You should get - not only to higher ground, but also to an area that's more easily serviced by emergency and repair crews.
