Seems like that lifestyle in such a white preppy rich person's town might have messed up the kid who shot everyone.

The home directly across the street from the Lanza home was sold for $650K just 6 months ago. It has less land, but more square footage.

The 1.3 Million number that you heard was WAY WAY OFF the mark.

Yeah - Newtown is not a town of million dollar homes. Most homes in town range from $300k-700k.

I noticed in photos of the school after the shooting a couple of African-American faces (including some students) as well as on videos I've seen of the interfaith vigil so while probably "mostly white" I don't think it is "lily" (i.e. 100%). This article has such a picture:

~95% according to the most recent census data.

That is of all people, in some towns like that the percent of white kids is slightly lower. I've done some work with the Trumbull school district which Census numbers say is over 95% white, but if I based it on the schools (and I've been to all of them at one time or another) I'd say overall it's about 80-90% of the kids. Still very high, but just wanted to note that it's not "completely", other than that it's really not that important.

I don't want to get OT here, but i think what you see in Trumbull is the same thing you'll see in Fairfield and Stratford. Out of district students illegally enrolled.
