It does to the Stamford station, but the office is a bit of a drive from the station so she would have to wait for about 15-20 minutes each way at the station for the company shuttle bus. At that point, it's kind of pointless IMO.

[quote=kidyankee764;27920531]Interesting read. I still view Acura as being a luxury brand, though.

I agree. And the MDX is without a doubt the best SUV on the market today (IMHO). Jay

Darien to Rye is about 12-15 minutes if you were to live in the Noroton section of Darien which offers the excellent Hindley elementary school (blue ribbon school). Even if you did hit a bad crawl on 95 it still wouldn't take as long as getting "up north" to NC or Ridgefield. The housing premium in Darien is worth it for the better commute!!! We don't even commute anymore and we still stayed in Darien because of it's incredible offerings; schools, library, youth sports. If you have boys and they are going to be active in sports; Darien offers some of the best youth sports programs in the country. Darien is short on field space. It is sort a "club" town but we have lived here for 20+ years and we do not belong to a club and it has not been a problem. Many families join the pool clubs in Stamford because they are more affordable. We forgot about beaches and water access; Darien has two excellent public beaches on the sound; the more northern towns are not on the coast although they do offer public pools that Darien has yet to build although I am sure there will be one built within the next 2-3 years.
Also, the Darien YMCA is an amazing facility; with indoor pools; a great nursery school, a brand new gymnastics center; workout areas, fitness center etc. When people have small children they spend tons of time at the YMCA there are so may activities offered there; even sailing lessons in the summer! There are so many volunteer organizations, charitable groups and church groups that your wife would have no trouble getting involved.
