Does anybody have any suggestions for baby-friendly activities in the West Hartford area? Maybe a baby gym or other indoor activities to keep a small child occupied for 1/2 a day or so? Thank you!

Children's Fitness Center | My Gym West Hartford

There is a My Gym there. They have mommy and me classes and such. First one is free, after that you have to pay for the classes you want.

Also, if you want to hit a museum. KidCity in middletown has a great room for babies that crawl/cruise.

Well I'm not the mommy (I'll be hanging out with the baby and his mommy), so hopefully they'll let 2 adults in with 1 baby. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll definitely include this on our list. I haven't spent much time in W. Hartford, so I'm thinking a walk through Blue Back Square, lunch, and baby gym would be a good day. If the weather is nice, we can go to the park there. Any other suggestions for how to spend a day in W Hartford, anyone?

The children's museum in West Hartford is worth a visit if the baby is a toddler - lots of room to run around in. The public library in the center has an amazing children's area, and it's free. Toddler will be happy there for hours, and the center is a nice place to walk around and get a snack. If the person you're visiting is a member of the JCC, they have a fantastic indoor playscape which would be tons of fun for any kid over 2.

The baby is about 16 months old. Thanks for the suggestions everybody! The JCC indoor playscape sounds great, I think we'll check that out (as well as the other suggestions).
