Does anybody have any suggestions for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner seeking a job in CT? She's open to pretty much any part of the state, but would prefer Fairfield County, New Haven County, or around Hartford. She already has her CT Nurse Practitioner (and RN) license and has many years of relevant experience. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

First logical step is for her to look up and see just what she can expect to get for a salary for these positions. Google is her friend. Then she should determine where in the state she could live on that salary. Obviously unless she is paid very well, lower Fairfield county might be out of the running.

If she eventually wants to buy a house or a condo, then living in a market where that might be feasible should also be a consideration.

A Google search can find every hospital in the state, every nursing facility, health care center, etc. Most of the hospitals / large health care facilities have their own on line boards where they post open positions.

She could also try internet boards like allnurses. com. There are also any number of nurse recruiter boards online.

There is a ton of information out there. She just has to be willing to go find it . You can also do a search on this forum ( in the box on the top of the page). Try to search under " nursing jobs- CT" . There have been a couple of similar questions asked over the past several months. If you read through the responses there are some good lists of potential places to work in the New Haven to Hartford area.
