Without going into too many details, I am in a need of a GOOD divorce lawyer who can help me first with a separation agreement and then a divorce. I prefer someone who does both collaborative divorce and litigation at the same time (in case things get ugly) and also has significant, extensive experience and success in child relocation. I plan to relocate to North Carolina and has reluctantly agreed to it. I want to make sure to get an agreement in WRITING before separating and divorcing. One that he won't be able to renege on so easily. Can you recommend someone in the Greater Hartford area?

I need to make sure my 3 year old twins and I get the best deal possible because we have been put through hell. On the surface, my husband looks good on paper. He has a professional career making 6 figures but, has a substance abuse problem. He irresponsible and habitual use of alcohol and marijuana has become intolerable. My children don't deserve to grow up in a home like this. I need someone who will be a bulldog on our behalf if you know what I mean. I haven't had a lot of luck finding attorneys who are responsive. Once it takes them too long to get back to me, I don't exactly want to hire them. It's ridiculous and I'm not about to tolerate paying some attorney to ignore me and get around to calling me when he/she gets around to it. Any help is highly appreciated. Send DM if you don't want to post it on the thread.

I already have a list of some lawyers but personal experience is also appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance.

I will send you the name of an attorney my friend's used and were happy with (or at least as happy as one can be in this situation). Jay
