Future Radar Loop. The bands will be whipping in from the SouthEast(Long Island) and East. Watch the yellows and reds get ensconced into the snowfield. That's the heavy blinding snows roughly around 7pm

I heard Police in Rhode Island are asking for snowmobiles to get to emergency situations.

As strange as it sounds I wish we were getting the blizzard conditions during the daylight. That is something I'd like to see.

I'll probably be up much of the night. I plan on snowblowing every 8" or so (my neighbors do the same, so I won't be disturbing anyone).

Temps in mid 30s on Long Island so areas are changing to rain there. That should not advance northward much.

Current temps & radar. That yellow down there is very heavy rain.. when that moves up and gets ensconced into the cold air, heavy snow will fall.

Just heard someone say that Malloy's calling for people off the roads by 1.

Should be home before that, fortunately.

Winds will slowly pick up from here on out. Coastal MA, into RI and CT now. Notice the pink barbs down south.. that's indicating 50mph and this is already a 994mb low. Wow. Not good, this has room to strengthen into a Cat 1 Hurricane strength now.

Heavy precip just exploded over the sound heading into CT...you can even see the pink on the map above.. So expect a quick burst of heavy snow around Milford, Stamford areas.
