As we're all digging out...gotta admit that the forecasts & models NAILED this one. Hype was justified and then some. The only shock to me is that the potential magnitude wasn't apparent until last Tuesday, or Wednesday even.

Hope everyone posting on here has their power and stays safe & warm.

Some points from Gov. Malloy's storm briefing:

There is a ban on travel on all roads.

16000 calls have been responded to by state police.

39000 customers without power.

Make sure to clear outside vents to prevent the built-up of CO in homes.

I guess I am most concerned with the company that plows are complex to be able to get here and try and clear us out.
I was about 6 years old and I remember it. We were at my Aunt's house on Meadow St and she tried to drive us home. She couldn't make it up the first of our two steep hills so we had to get out and walk the rest of the way. I remember crying and calling for my mom because I could barely make it up the hill and kept falling down. I'll never forget it.
