I do wonder about some of the reports people are giving though like if they measured drifts by mistake. I am seeing a lot of 20-24" spotter reports on OKX's site for southern Westchester and it looks out my window more like 10-15" (which I have seen given for places adjacent to Westchester like Greenwich above or the northern Bronx (i.e. the plowed up pieces against the cars on the street are not even 2 feet)). I do believe the "epic" totals for Bridgeport thru Hartford and Suffolk County LI though as the pictures I've seen from people (like Brian's on the previous page here for what I think is Wallingford or from Facebook friends of mine who live in/near Bridgeport, New Haven and Hartford) do look it (also Bridgeport's 30" is a true NWS reading).

I guess instagram doesn't allow hotlinking - I can't upload the photo I took. I tried though!

Big storms = 2 feet around here in the past... Not 3 feet. Whats more insane is that it was within 24hrs. That is unheard of! And for multiple 3 foot reports in different locations its hard to think its drifts.

3 feet in Wallingford. Entire town is shut down. Public works can't even get the plow trucks out of their parking lot. Awaiting heavy equipment from the National Guard. More pictures to come.

As I noted in that post, I think it IS true for most of CT and eastern LI, especially since there is official NWS readings (Islip, Bradley and Sikorsky) and a lot of photos to prove it. I just find it weird to see readings close to that near me when I'm not quite seeing that........and when areas between those readings and where it is truly "epic" are not showing it (i.e. Greenwich through Norwalk showing 15-20" amounts, so since it seems to be more as you go east and less as you go west, what I'm personally seeing makes sense and the spotter reports nearby to me do not).

Interestingly, look at this site of roadcam webs in CT, my wife used to use it a lot when she worked in Norwalk. Looks like they've cleaned 95 in Greenwich/Stamford, but the rest of the state has the main roads snow covered. Particularly look at the webcam of I-95 in Stratford with stuck cars (a few FB weather sites I subscribe to have posted it, though one erroneously claimed it was the Long Island Expwy between exits 63 and 64, whose webcam has it's own "stuck cars" situation):

Here's the picture I'm referring to:

Now is about the time I wish I wouldve saved up for a nicer blower. Using a small one now and its a bare. And this wind sure isnt helping, especially when it changes directions every few seconds, blowing the snow right back at me and towards the house. Fun times.
