Blizzard Watch is up for MA and RI I believe CT will be part of that tomorrow.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY
AFTERNOON. THE WINTER STORM WATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

* LOCATIONS...MUCH OF EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS AS WELL AS NORTHERN AND
CENTRAL RHODE ISLAND. THIS INCLUDES THE BOSTON TO PROVIDENCE
CORRIDOR.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 12 TO 24 INCHES.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW DEVELOPS BY FRIDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL
INCREASE INTENSITY DURING FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST SNOW
WILL OCCUR FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING.

For Southern CT, away from coast from NWS.
LOCATIONS... INTERIOR SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT.
* HAZARD TYPES... HEAVY SNOW... SLEET... AND FREEZING RAIN.
* ACCUMULATIONS... SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 18 TO 24 INCHES... ALONG WITH AROUND A TENTH OF AN INCH OF ICE.
* WINDS... NORTH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH.
* TEMPERATURES... IN THE UPPER 20S.
* VISIBILITIES... ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.
* TIMING... FRIDAY AFTERNOON INTO EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.


For shoreline it had warmer temps and snowfall range of 10-20"...

Cambium, I like your put together NWS map. I see that FFC and even NYC seem to have higher snow totals now.

Really weird.

Geoff Fox (on his blog) seems to think a lot of rain will mix in for southern CT, and Hartford will only get 6-8" out of this.

Then I read Cams NWS map and it's a bit mind boggling.

Albany just updated their map. Up to 2 feet in Eastern Litchfield County.

WFSB has named the storm Charlotte. I think they name most if not all significant snowstorms.

Latest GFS just out goes Boom. Bows to the King Euro once again.

This is snowfall total in 6hrs from 10pm to 4am Saturday. Basically just intense blinding snow rates from pinks into grays
