If I watch a CT station, it's WTNH, but out of habit out of actually liking it. My go to in the morning is NBC New York.

Bridgeport is just too close to New York to have its own station. Growing up in Fairfield I never knew that television stations covered local news in other parts of the country. Jay

I watch mostly WFSB or WVIT. WTNH has gotten so superficial the past few years, I just can't stomach their canned smiles and posturing for more than a minute or so.

For Fairfield County, you're not going to beat News 12 for coverage. If you're lucky to get the NYC channels then they are the most polished local news in the country. But of course it's more NYC centered with occasional FFC coverage.

For weather guys I respect Bruce on WFSB the most. I absolutely can't stand any of the NYC guys.

I've always preferred VIT. They have numerous reporters out in the field giving reports, albeit the reporters can't really get around. In contrast, i just switched over to TNH for a half hour and i didn't see any reporters at all. Kind of pathetic.......

They have the most comprehensive FFC coverage, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired.

The weather team on WVIT is the best in my opinion. Bob Maxim is does not over-hype weather events. In contrast, WFSB, Scot Haney in particular, over-hype any weather event.

How long ago was that? The furthest back that i can remember for WTNH people would be Bob Norman, Bob Picozzi, and Ken Venit.
