I don't watch the morning news often as my schedule doesn't permit, but today I tuned into WTNH. I was extremely disappointed with the show and simply annoyed.

Their segment "today's talkers" drove me crazy. It's basically the woman and man anchor reporting news stories, but they also add their opinions and go back and forth on their arguments. What the heck!?! I'm halfway awake and I need to listen to a debate class just for the news?

Are all news stations following this format? Is this a new trend?

I can't stand those two and don't care about their superficial opinions. That's why I watch either WNBC or WFSB in the morning.

WTNH is awful. They are probably the most unprofessional/least polished of the bunch. I much prefer NBC Connecticut (WVIT) for my local news.

Agreed. It's too bad because I really like Ann Nyberg (met her a few times around town and very pleasant, classy woman), and the new meteorologist Erika Martin.

I tend to not watch TV anymore, but WTNH's website is the least offensive. That's not to say that it's any good, but it's the least offensive.

In the morning, I switch between WTNH and WFSB. WTNH is the only channel that covers FFC at all, especially for traffic and weather.

Same with New Haven County. WFSB and WVIT both cover major NHC stories, but WTNH is more local.

WFSB had some kind of Fairfield County coverage they were promoting a few years ago, but I haven't seen a mention of it in awhile.

In my opinion, WFSB is the most Hartford focused, and WTNH being the least, with WVIT and WTIC somewhere in the middle. WFSB and WTNH also seem to try and cover eastern Connecticut, while WVIT will venture into New Haven and Fairfield counties with some frequency.

I almost never watch the Hartford news outlets. Compared to the NYC broadcasts, they just seem amateurish -- and WABC et al covers Fairfield County, so I never see a need to tune in to Hartford affiliates.
