Alright, what's going on here. We've evidently pissed off the gods.

Back to back hurricanes
followed by back to back out of season snowstorms
followed by the insane blizzard
in between the crazy old geezers getting their faces plastered all over the news for drugs and sex
pretty boy news anchor trying to strangle his wife, then stupid enough to mouth off about it in a police
station

So what do we have to do now- find a volcano and sacrifice a goat, a couple of chickens, maybe a blond haired starlet ? We need to get back to our motto- land of steady habits. It's all out of control.

He used to be an anchor for NBC when I worked there years ago. I never worked with him directly, but co-worker friends of mine did, and they did not think highly of him. Even back then he had a reputation for being arrogant and abrasive. Well, now he gets to live the examined life for once. Let's see how he does.

He's always been kind of a d-bag, but from what I'm reading on other sources, she's the one who attacked him.

Well, according to the economic development department, which is in charge of tourism, Connecticut is the land full of surprises, remember?

I think this is par for the course, because a surprise it is.

She could had initiated the altercation, but nothing justifies choking anyone and he was the one that did that. Plus, the police saw the evidence on her neck.

Not justifying what he did - just stating that she's no innocent herself. She probably should have been arrested as well.

Agreed. No excuse for domestic violence, but let the police investigate. David Pogue (NYT tech guy-- PBS host) went through the same thing in Westport a couple of years ago. Turned out she DID attack him and he was exonerated....
