Leaves
How are the leaves up there this year? I have heard that they are not as vibrant due to the lack of rain but I was hoping someone could post some pictures. We are just getting some of the trees to change down here but even when they do change, it is so much more bland.

Bighouse
spotty, dull. Some splashes of color- late. Peak color not until Halloween, over 10 days the normal peak.
It was 80 both yesterday and Sunday, and 70s today before more normal weather returns mid week.

There are some bright reds and yellows around my house right now. I was going to try and take some pictures today but it is awfully cloudy and may rain later. If I end up getting some good pictures I'll post them here.
It certainly isn't as good as other years but the colors are still quite pretty. I was just driving through upstate NY last weekend and it was gorgeous. It was peak there, which is a couple weeks later than usual. Strange fall we are having.

Well if anyone can get some pictures - please put them up. I keep trying to find a picture I took in Devil's Hopyard about 5 years ago on a hike with my wife. We came walking around this corner of the trail and were just nailed with color. I snapped a picture of it and I have had so many people ask for copies since it seemed like you could walk right into the picture. Did a hike down here last week and there was nothing anywhere close to resembling that.

Hmm, in my area of town the color is pretty good. My backyard was beaming. Perhaps it's the elevation. (close to 1000') If you asked me a few days ago to snap a pic I would have but my backyard is now past peak. LOL
I went for a ride in the NW hills on Sat with the fatboy and I got some very nice color...some areas were hurting a bit but overall, not bad at all IMO.

I also noticed the leaves werent as vibrant in CT as they were last year on my trip a few weeks ago. Here in NC I was actually surprised to see so much color change, especially with everyone telling me how they wouldnt and also b/c we had so many droughts this year. Taking a couple rides up to Boone and there was lots of color which was nice. What really impressed me though was when I was on 81 in PA headed up to CT. The colors were amazing and so vibrant. At one point I passed a pond which was on my right and 3/4 was surrounded by beautiful trees of all shades of yellows and oranges and reds and greens. I wish I could have taken a picture but no camera and high speed highway =
