Hi,

I wanted to rent a house around Simsbury area. I have never removed snow myself all these years. So I would like to know what would be the likely cost for snow removal, lawn maintenance, if left to come contractor?

It depends on the length of the driveway and how much sidewalk you have. We pay about $45 per storm (3 inches or more) for our driveway (25 by 40)and sidewalks (130 feet). In bigger storms we are charged more if they have to come out more often. Jay

I had to pay for plowing when I first moved in my house since I wasn't living here full time. The going rate then (2 years ago) was $55/storm for my long driveway (maybe 80 feet long) and no sidewalks. So I bought a snowblower. Not sure about lawn maintenance, I have never contracted that out.

Those prices sound reasonable. My dad has been plowing for over 30 years and charges a little more for residential but he mainly does commercial property.
