Winds gusting up to 50mph at LaGuardia, Atlantic City and Cape May NJ.
Winds at 4000' are over 60mph now in those areas south of NYC.

So its should get windier soon

You think the 36* will hold for tomorrow, or it will trend colder?

Pretty amazing storm being its elongated. Cold air injecting into it on the south side but easterly winds off the Atlantic pushing some warm air back into land. Should change after sundown.

Dont forget.. there's been areas that were at 40 degrees and turned to snow and accumulated south of us..

More interestingly... Do you guys know that 3000 feet above our heads its in the 20s. Usually that means snow but surface is too warm so its melting the snow quickly right above us.

I bet you parts of Litchfield hills getting a mix at least right now

Snowpack or snow falling should keep it tamed. Maybe 34? Wind chill in the 20s

Virginia State of Emergency. Top snowfall amounts so far.. VA: 20" WV: 17" MD: 13" PA: 12"

Looking over the 12z data.. I think its tomorrow night we have to worry about. Who the heck knows now. lol

Ocean warmth is overpowering the cold air above for many areas.

COLDER,...snow column will not allow 36 inland. No way. Might get there at some point if snow stops but not while its snowing.
