Default Brooklyn, CT

Can you tell me what you know about Brooklyn?

Also, it appears that if you live there you can go to Woodstock Academy or Killingly for high school. How does that work, do you have a choice, or is based on what part of town you live in?

Are there good childcare facilities in Brooklyn?

Would a commute to Providence be feasible?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Erika

Brooklyn is a town in Windham County. It contains the census district of East Brooklyn. The population was 7,173 at the 2000 census.

Settled in the 1600s and incorporated as its own town in 1786, Brooklyn is now one of the fastest growing towns in Windham County. It is home to the Brooklyn Fair, America's oldest continuously operating agricultural fair,

on your questions about childcare I have no information, perhaps at the towns web site you can gather information. On education Perhaps it would be best to research this link

Commuting to Providence- on US route 6 -average time about 35 minutes. Depending on weather. Route 6 becomes a freeway just outside of Providence.
