Default Need A+ Apt. Downtown

We're (couple w/baby and small dog) moving to CT for a new job and want to live in downtown Hartford. So far, we've looked at the Lofts at Main and Temple, Hartford 21, and Trumbull on the Park. We'd really like some advice on which place is better or if there are others that are better. We'd prefer to stay as close to Trumbull St. as possible so that I don't have to get a parking space for work. If anyone knows anyone who lives in any of these apts, I'd love to hear their opinion on whether they are worth the money. We also plan to look at Colt Gateway and Gillette Ridge in Bloomfield. As a side note, I've heard rumors about a supermarket downtown. Any idea when it's coming?

Thanks.

My husband and I know someone who lives in Hartford 21. The apartment is beautiful and the views are great. It's very pricey for Hartford, but the person who lives there really likes it. It's very convenient since his office is across the street. He told us the building is quiet and the people who work there are very nice and accommodating.

We looked at Colt Gateway about a year ago. The area seemed ok, but not great. The apartments were really nice. I'm not sure how much development has occurred in the last year, but I think it will be very nice once everything is completed.

The owners of Hartford 21 (Northtland) have publicly said that they are building a small supermarket in the building. They know that this is the major problem with living in downtown Hartford (not have a grocery store). Originally Northlnad had a deal with Bliss Market which is a small high-quality market in Wethersfield but that deal fell through. Northland said that they are constructing the market anyway and will find a market to run the space soon. Give the amount of investment that they have put into downtown Hartford I believe they will find someone for the space. It is just a question of when. Jay
