Yes, as is Dayville, Attawaugan, East Killingly, South Killingly, Ballouville, and Rogers.
People that live in Killingly refer to the Killingly Commons area as "downtown" especially with its proxmity to Owen Bell park which has been alot more than a park for lifelong residents.
The Danielson "downtown" along main st., commerence st. etc.would just be Danielson to those from the area. Better known as "Dburg".

Oh wow...someone from Litchfield County has spoken in this forum! Seems like almost everyone in this forum is from Fairfield, New Haven and Hartford counties. We don't have anyone from New London or Middlesex counties...or even Tolland. I think there's one or two people who occasionally chime in from Windham county.

Copy that. Although I speak up plenty.. I have the infractions to show that.

I actually grew up in Killingly. Almost as far NE Ct. as you can get ... just a few houses away from the Rhode Island state line and of course just a few minutes from Mass. Now I am extreme NW corner. About 1000 feet from the Mass line and just a couple miles from the NY line. Both corners actually have more in common than not. If it wasnt for the ease at which the "bad elements" can travel into the NE corner via 395, 101/44/84 etc and set up "shop" they would be even more similar. But parts like Woodstock, Pomfret, and such can be much more insulated to those things if one chooses.

I could be wrong, but the town centers in FFC seem to be very manicured, renovated and too clean looking (i.e. plastic). Kind of like they were showered with money.
Then you are going to love Bridgeport. Jay

Right and 18 months ago he didn't want to buy a home, because they were all exactly as he just described... Old, a little run down, etc...

Well, I have 20 hours left to accept or reject the offer...

No other options have surfaced.

Umm... What are you waiting for? You need a job... and they're giving you a job. It sounds like a good one. I'd be jumping at it and asking if I can start tomorrow.
